What We Aim to Do
What We Aim to Do
Strengthening LGBTQ+ Youth Advocacy
GENERATION+ is committed to empowering young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become active advocates for LGBTQ+ rights and social equality. Through targeted workshops, interactive discussions, and non-formal learning methodologies, participants gain a deeper understanding of human rights frameworks, equality policies, and advocacy tools. By equipping young people with these competences, the project fosters a new generation of informed leaders capable of promoting positive social change within their communities and beyond.
Promoting Inclusive Participation
At the heart of GENERATION+ lies the principle of inclusion. The project creates safe, open, and accessible environments where all young people, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, social background, or personal circumstances, can express themselves freely and participate on equal terms. By encouraging diverse voices and perspectives, GENERATION+ ensures that participation is meaningful, representative, and rooted in respect for diversity, equality, and human dignity.
Connecting Youth and Policymakers
A key objective of GENERATION+ is to strengthen the connection between young people and decision-makers. Through structured dialogue, policy labs, and participatory events, the project creates opportunities for youth to directly engage with policymakers, institutional representatives, and civil society actors. These exchanges allow young people to share their experiences, express their concerns, and contribute to shaping policies that affect their lives, reinforcing the importance of youth voices in democratic processes at local, national, and European levels.
Fighting Discrimination and Social Exclusion
GENERATION+ actively works to challenge prejudice, discrimination, and social exclusion faced by LGBTQ+ individuals and other marginalized groups. Through awareness-raising campaigns, educational activities, and open conversations, the project addresses harmful stereotypes and promotes understanding, empathy, and acceptance. By fostering solidarity and encouraging active allyship, GENERATION+ contributes to building communities where diversity is celebrated and every individual feels respected, valued, and safe.
Building Civic and Social Competences
Beyond advocacy, GENERATION+ supports the personal and professional development of young people by strengthening essential civic and social competences. Participants enhance their leadership abilities, communication skills, critical thinking, teamwork, and active citizenship through practical engagement and experiential learning. These competences not only prepare them to participate effectively in democratic life but also empower them to become proactive contributors to more inclusive and resilient societies.
