About the Project

GENERATION+ is an Erasmus+ Key Action 154 Youth Participation project dedicated to strengthening youth advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights and promoting inclusive participation across Europe. Rooted in the principles of equality, human dignity, and democratic engagement, the project seeks to empower young people to actively contribute to shaping more inclusive and representative societies.

In a time when discrimination, exclusion, and social inequalities continue to affect LGBTQ+ communities and other marginalized groups, GENERATION+ responds to the urgent need for safe, accessible, and meaningful spaces for dialogue, participation, and advocacy. The project recognizes that young people are not only beneficiaries of social change but also powerful agents in driving it.

At its core, GENERATION+ is founded on the belief that democracy and social justice can only thrive when every voice is heard, respected, and valued. Through a combination of non-formal education, intercultural exchange, capacity-building activities, and structured dialogue with policymakers, the project equips young people with the knowledge, competences, and confidence needed to advocate for equality and influence decision-making processes at local, national, and European levels.

By bringing together young people, civil society organisations, and institutional stakeholders, GENERATION+ creates opportunities for collaboration, mutual understanding, and co-creation of solutions that address the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals and diverse communities. Through this collective effort, the project strengthens civic participation, promotes human rights awareness, and fosters a culture of solidarity, acceptance, and inclusion.

More than a project, GENERATION+ is a platform for empowerment and transformation, a space where advocacy is translated into action, experiences are transformed into policy recommendations, and youth voices become a driving force for sustainable social change across Europe.
